What are drops?

A Drop is the simplest way of sharing an album or a playlist with a third party (none Mewo user).

How to create a drop?

Drops can be created from the album and playlist panel. In the example below, I have opened the panel of the playlist "Playlist Nature" and will be generating a drop by clicking on the "Create drop" link.

Upon clicking on "Create drop", a new panel similar to the one below will open. This is the drop panel of my playlist "Playlist Nature". From there I will be able to share my drop with none Mewo users.

I have two sharing options:

  • Public link

The public link can be copied and pasted into any medium of your choice. Anybody with this link can access your drop and download the music contained in it.

  • Recipients

Any recipient you add to your drop will be able to access the music contained in the drop. If you have given download rights to the recipient he will also be able to download the music.

The benefit of sharing a drop by adding recipients is the tracking it offers. You will be able to see if the music has been streamed and downloaded ðŸ˜‰
