How does distribution works?
Mewo enables you to distribute your catalog to other Mewo users. Setting up a distribution canal between a "Provider" and an "Agent" is a straightforward operation. To learn how to set up a distribution canal click here.
The sender is called "Provider" and the recipient is called "Agent".
What are the most common uses-cases for distribution canals on Mewo?
- Sharing your catalog with a brand
- Sharing your catalog with a broadcaster
- Sharing your catalog with an advertisement company
- Sharing your catalog with a sub-publisher
By distributing your music catalog through Mewo you are providing your "Agent" (client or partner) with an intuitive and professional music back-office. A clouded platform on which your "Agent" will be able to browse your music catalog and access metadata in just a few clicks.
If you are looking to implement a streamlined workflow for your clients and partners, to easily have access to your music, we recommend using the "Agent" and "Provider" distribution canal.
Will I be charged extra for distributing my catalog to an "Agent"?
Track distribution is free and for both parties "Agents" and "Providers".
Warning! Before distributing your tracks to a sub-publisher we strongly encourage you to set up an agreement (such as a sub-publishing, licensee, or administration deal). Distributing tracks will allow the other user to download and showcase your works to his own team or clients.
